| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 95 === The process of economic globalization, in recent years, has impacted on people’s politics and social changes in Taiwan. We are even allowed to say that the evolution and development of city space have been gradually formed, specifically accompanying the influence of dominance of other nations as well as multi-culture. Within ten years when the author left the hometown in the south of Taiwan for the Taipei city to explore, she was deeply bewildered by such a tide, learning to live independently and build up the self-approval pattern in such modern space. However, in the face of the rapid changes of the external world, one often falls into a fissionary condition and one’s mental consciousness drifts outside the city space. In such a fearful and restless state, one’s innermost world faces quite a few trials.
The subject of this research explores and represents the innermost condition during self-drifting under the city space. The author attempts to write about the spiritual image when one is in the city space based on the female innate experience, the sensitive, slender and bodily experienced feminine characteristics. Meanwhile, the author, while creating art work, again constructs the spiritual territory that belongs to the individual self, the spatial fairyland that allows the author to roam around with comfort and ease.
This research tries various techniques used in ink paintings, combines various materials, not limited to the techniques used in traditional ink paintings. It does a series of studies and analysis on the subject and content and contrasts city space with self-mental space to make literature discussions, observations and analysis and also to combine one’s life history and experience. It’s an important goal of creation in future to attempt to pull the drifting spirits back to the spatial state of innermost world—hometown—matrix, the sincere and direct integral representation of pursuing spirits.
