Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 科技藝術研究所數位藝術創作組 === 95 === This thesis aims to elaborate the creative theory of my graduate production a 3D animation entitled “The Examiner”. It looks at the creative ideas and productive techniques. “The Examiner” approaches social subjects from different angles, including confrontation among social strata, the consequence of traditional examinations, the value of existence, and the absolute power of authority. It explores lives that include suspicions, jealousies, and desire for control. Perhaps readers and the director have had similar experiences.
In addition to the storyline, ”The Examiner” presents a new animated visual aesthetic. The director constructs a surrealistic 3D space. A rope is pulled by the examiner and the examinee, symbolizing the desire for control and mutual suspicions. The visual style draws abstract messages from objective actions. Discussing the creation of this work, this dissertation gives a comprehensive analysis of the animation “The Examiner”. I hope to create a dialogue with readers; for me, the director of the animation, the creative process is "self-medication" and the completion of a dream.
