The subjects were 523 players who participated in the 2005 collegiate baseball tournament. Only those teams which were graded A and B+ were chosen as the subjects. Some checklists such as the followings: (1) the coaches’ leaderships in the collegiate baseball team (2) the baseball players’ commitment to organization in the collegiate baseball teams, were used as research tools to do the questionnaires plus descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method and Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise regression analyzed on the statistics. There were some findings as follows: 1. The coaches’leaderships of the collegiate baseball teams were training and guiding behavior, caring behavior ,democratic behavior, awarding behavior and dictatorial behavior. In the perspective of commitment to the team, players’ commitment to the team was higher than any one else. 2. Different age of players, different level of players and different defensive position showed no significant difference toward coaches’ leadership. Different group of matches showed significant difference on training and guiding behavior, caring behavior, democratic behavior, and awarding behavior. Players in different practice days showed difference on dictatorial behavior and players in different practice time showed difference on training and guiding behavior. 3. Different age, different level, and different defensive position of the players showed no difference on the commitment to the organization. Players’ practice in different time showed difference on the commitment to the organization. The number of days for players to practice showed difference on the commitment to stay in the same team and players in different groups of matches showed difference on the intention to make efforts. 4.There was significant difference between the coaches’behaviors of leaderships in the collegiate baseball teams, ones such as training and guiding behavior, democratic behavior, caring behavior, dictatorial behavior, awarding behavior; and the players’ commitment to the organization, items such as team recognition, intention to make efforts, orientation to stay in the same team. 5.Coaches’training and guiding, caring behaviors and dictatorial behaviors could efficiently predict the players’commitment to the organization, items such as team recognition, intention to make efforts, orientation to stay in the same team.
