Demand for turning the urgency into for the embedded operating system reason. The embedded system generally means it is not PC system. It have basic function of PC, but can't call it as the computer equipment. It is composed microprocessor, customized hardware , embedded operating system and application software system, etc. The domain of its application is extremely wide. It is structure for instance, reaches the automatic control system of the factory. It is small to hand-held consuming products (cell-phone, PDA, PMP, MP3, etc.). And by of all kinds to use the form hide of our life. No matter the manufacturing industries or the communication industries are all used extensively. It make the embedded products become the focus of attracting attention in the market gradually and bring up the situation that embedded products market demand improves progressively .
Because traditional PDA has not accorded with market demand yet, has then oriented the function of the device Global Positioning System(GPS) instead of the whole world. Another type hand-held device - Combining type intelligent device . It pass the application functions of the music and video-information too. It attract consumers to favor. It has driven the demand for Flash storing device further too.
The embedded system does not usually have magnetic disc system. In order to let embedded WinCE store the permanent materials. it is a piece of general tactics to use Flash magnetic disc system. The purpose of this thesis is in SMDK2443 (for main CPU core with ARM microprocessor ) , designed by Samsung, Korea, use Samsung moviNAND Flash to implement the Flash magnetic disc that Flash Memory (type: KMCEN0000M) become embedded WinCE5.0. Expect it can is it stock the development that steps uses and offer the experiment platform for the thing that the embedded system is studied while being other to help to make in fact.
