(2) research of life requirements for customers in the bedroom. (3) research of bedplate angle comfortably. (4) digital bed design. The results of the investigation and survey are as follows. 1) Many of the current electrical beds gave an image of ‘hospital bed’. 2) The current electrical beds had not been designed with consideration of the needs of specific user groups. 3) The usability of bedroom furniture needed further improvement. 4) Time spent on the bed for reading was the mostly. 5) Most students often ‘surfing the Internet’ at home every day, and spend much time on their homework in the evening. 6) Most SOHO reported that ‘surfing the Internet’ was their most frequent leisure activity at home, again, for their works. 7) Most elders reported that ‘play’ was their most frequent leisure activity at home and spend much time on it. 8) Students and office workers need to use computer, SOHO were need telephone and elder need TV on their bed. 9) This study reported human needs in the bedroom that students needs on study, office workers need on sports and play, SOHO need on their works and elders need on play and healthy. 10) The most comfortable angle of the bed back for human lying down to read and watch TV programs was 142°. The research results as well as the design concepts are expected to be useful for reference in furniture design.
