As a result, digital image processing techniques are gaining their importance. It is also a key factor on making the quality of Digital Image satisfactory to users. When users are unable to acquire detail image information, it is common to enlarge the image to get the information which users want to. Many Scale Algorithms of digital image have been brought by researchers. However, not all digital image applications and images in different environments are suitable to a certain Scale Algorithm. Therefore, How to appropriately perform different Scale Algorithms to enlarge diverse images is an important issue. Out of focus is one of the most common situations when images are being continuously retrieved. Nevertheless, the focal length is frequently out of focus when retrieving images. Researchers mention different calculations of the sharpness to evaluate whether images focus a camera. Nonetheless, these calculations bring different results when apply to various environments and images. Consequently, how to appropriately use Scale Algorithms of calculations of the sharpness in different environment variables and images becomes another important issue when retrieving images. The first objective of this study is to integrate and compare the quality of Scale Algorithms under various environments, analyze advantages and disadvantages of the Algorithms for future development and deployment. The second objective is to analyze the index of sharpness that could be used to measure the focus status in various circumstances.
