Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 心理學所 === 96 === Repeated use of drugs often results in tolerance or sensitization. The development of sensitization usually requires a period of abstinence of drug use. Cross sensitization occurs not only between addictive drugs but also between stress and addictive drugs. Immune substance cytokines activate HPA axis, thereby increase the stress hormone, corticosterone. The aim of this study was (a) to examine the sensitization of the reward characteristics of morphine and (b) cross-sensitization of illness-related stress to the morphine reward effect with conditioned place preference paradigm. The results suggest that morphine-experienced rats develop sensitization in conditioned place preference, and the endotoxin-experienced rats had more sensitized morphine rewarding effect.
