| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 企業管理所 === 96 === Nowadays, in order to adapt the global impact of international environment, all of the enterprises increase competitive advantage and business continuity. In addition, they develop into business groups and expand their size of organizations. However, in the initial stage, family members had to take on the important position for managing the organization and lay the foundation. They have to hire more employees who do not belong to their family, while enterprises expand their size continually. Family control will be less and less. The aim of this thesis will discuss about the effect of family and business group.
The research used “Business Groups in Taiwan“ that was published by “China Credit Information Service, LTD” to be our samples. The random sample size was 74 business groups in Taiwan which were selected for five consecutive years (2003-2007).
Using quantitative research method to indicate that:
1. The relationship between Business group’s total assets and family control scale. It would be unstable.
2. The relationship between Business group’s performance and family control scale. It would be unstable.
3. The relationship between Business group’s net value and family control scale. It would not be positive.
4. The relationship between Business group’s number of employees and family control scale. It would be unstable.
