The four main purposes of this study are: first, to explore women’s learning progresses and experiences before attending higher vocational recurrent education; second, to explore women’s learning progresses and experiences during attending higher vocational recurrent education; third, to explore women’s learning progresses and experiences after attending higher vocational recurrent education; fourth, according to the former three purposes, to generalize the development skeleton of the whole learning progress of women attending higher vocational recurrent education in Taiwan. To reach the purposes, this study uses the interview method of qualitative research. Twenty-five female learners who have got degrees of higher vocational recurrent education were interviewed to understand the real situation. The data were analyzed and the conclusions are as the following: 1 It shows the social phenomenon that women don’t have equal opportunities of education. 2. Women learners’ learning experiences show that women generally lack of being respected and reasonable treatment before, during and after further education. 3. The learning motives of women learners attending higher vocational recurrent education are in prior to satisfying deficient needs and minor to improvement needs. 4. When women learners attend learning activities of higher vocational recurrent education, there must be some trigger effect from learning motives to real attendance to learning activities. 5. When f women learners attend learning activities of higher vocational recurrent education, the learning obstacles they meet are multiple and repetitive. 6. The ways that women learners overcome learning obstacles are active and can be adjusted with situations, but social relationship harmony is primarily concerned. 7. The social supporting network with both emotionality and substantiality is the major power source that support women learners to insist to finish their education. However, family support still remains unsure. 8. When women learners attend learning activities of higher vocational recurrent education, they’ll be more self-confident and self-improved. 9. Women learners’ awareness of positive learning results will reinforce their willingness to constant learning. 10. The identification of women is the major factor influencing female learners to attend learning activities of higher vocational recurrent education and to successfully finish their education. 11. There are six periods at three stages in the whole learning progress of women attending higher vocational recurrent education.
