Our objective is to find the important factors which influence the group tourism demand in urban China. Using household data of five provinces, our empirical results show that household income is the most influential factor in a household. In addition, sevenal demographic variables are also important, including age, child, elder, education level, occupation, gender, and marital status of a household head as well as the existence of children and elderly people in a household. Our findings may be able to provide invaluable information for the tourism industry to arrange different tour packages in order to satisfy the need of heterogeneous consumers in urban China.
