The mobile sink is a movable base station with a powerful transceiver, higher capacity battery, and large memory, it can move to any destination to collect data in the sensing field. In traditional data gathering scheme, the sink is motionless, so it will cause hot spot problem. The nodes close to sink could need to transmit more packets to the sink than other nodes which are far from the sink. Therefore these nodes consume more energy than others. In our algorithm, we propose a scheme that every node just needs to transmit its own data to sink. The simulation results show that our proposed scheme can extend the sensor network lifetime by 20%.
