Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程所 === 96 === The researches on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) are developed quickly in the recent years. Safe driving is one of the most important researches on ITS. Crashing avoidance with other cars is an important part in safe driving. The purpose of safe driving is to help drivers see the circumstances on the road and driving situations. We have used the obstacle detection technology to help the driver to prevent traffic accident in the autonomous driving system. For this purpose, we develop a system to detect the preceding vehicles in different weather situations in real time. In the implementation, we adopt the extended instruction set and data-reuse concept on TI C64x DSP architecture to accelerate executing time. Experiments show that our developed algorithm can run in real time (30 frames per second) on TI DaVinci DSP platform.
