Identifying potential solutions to the problem of sensor relocation is paramount when regular node intend to replace the failure nodes to keep the given system function. This paper introduces a novel technique, Continuation of Feasible Energy Algorithm (COFE), to relocate sensor locations without paying a high network lifetime penalty. The assessments of COFE are conducted on the MATLAB platform and show the effectiveness of network lifetime. The salient features of the proposed COFE include: (1). able to produce less network lifetime penalty for a complex wireless sensor network, and (2). capable of balancing response time with network lifetime.
