Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 會計與資訊科技研究所 === 96 === Most recent studies examine the impact of firms’ resources, market competition and investment environment on degree of internationalization. Using the data from listed firms of electronics industry in Taiwan, our study investigates if corporate governance characteristics affect the degree of internationalization. Two aspects of corporate governance are considered, including ownership structure and board characteristics. The degree of internationalization is measured by the ratio of the overseas subsidiaries. The empirical result indicates that family control doesn’t have significant effect on degree of internationalization, but institution holdings, board holdings, and numbers of outside directors are positively related to degree of internationalization. It also indicates that board size and CEO duality are negatively associated with degree of internationalization.
