Many literatures have discussed similar topic, but most of them remain focused on concepts present and few real datum were raised to explain. This research draws on history data of the global sphygmomanometer industry growth to explore and unveil the appropriate timing and model for Taiwanese company to get into the digital sphygmomanometer industry. This thesis was tried to explain the best timing for a new company to success their business through the market maturity and technology maturity approach. To illustrate these two aspects, the product life cycle and the innovation S curve were cited in the dissertation. The research concluded that from the technology view the best timing to get into global sphygmomanometer market is in the beginning of technology maturity stage and the end of standardized phase, the risk can be minimized for no great improve could be happened, and receive only few complains from users as well. From the market view, during the market growth stage, the factories still own profit for the sake of limited competitors. Hence most Taiwan’s factories get into the market at the market growth stage, they still own profit from mass production and enlarge their market share by OEM business. OEM is a shortcut to develop a new business. The recent OEM business of digital blood pressure monitoring device has faced a high market share taken and low margin situation. Therefore; Taiwan factories begin to create their own global brands with channels and develop the relative key components to enhance the core competency for surviving. C. H.
