This research uses Google Earth SketchUp with 3D(three-dimensional) models to show the buildings at China Institute of Technology. By using photographs and the functions in Google Earth SketchUp, I show a 3D view of the school. First of all, I used satellite photographs of China Institute of Technology by Google Earth as a foundation, and then used SketchUp to draw a 3D model. Second, I used Photoshop to fix the photographs and put it on the face of the 3D models, to make them feel 3D and look realistic. The photographs have many unnecessary images which must be removed and the distortions corrected. The unnecessary images must be cut out or be covered up piece by piece. It must then be pieced together to build the models. When the model is done, the pieces must be positioned on the satellite photograph one by one. After finishing the 3D modeling, I will discuss and give advice on the design, formulation, appearance and visualization of the buildings at China Institute of Technology.
