However, pedestrian space is the artery of a city that provides people with a space for passing, widow-shopping, leisure activities and even going to work. The quality of urban pedestrian space is the key point to observe if we want to learn how active a city is. In reviewing the related literature about pedestrian space and walkway, we found that Tsai Xing-Zhen's "A Study on the Pedestrian Walkway of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Hsinyi New Life Square” explored how the new type of pedestrian walkway changed existed lifestyles. The spatial form may reflect the social formation of the time and viewpoints of changing lifestyle. Tsai recommended that the future follow-up researches magnify the scope of skywalk system from building, landscape or spatial viewpoint and further to research and explore. Therefore, based on her recommendations, the research took the pedestrian skywalk system as the subject of space researches and used the strong points of people’s using behaviors and life experiences in the city in city humanism as the tool for evaluating the quality of pedestrian space. Therefore, with the users’ perceptive reflection, the research explored perceptive preference and formation of space of pedestrian skywalk system users. It is hoped that the results of research could become guidelines for improvement and evaluation. The conclusion of the research are as follows: 1. The skywalk system is functional but no pleasant; 2. The perceptive feeling of pedestrian skywalk system users correlates closely with under-space; 3. The skywalk system has not optic conflict for users; 4. The perceptive feeling of pedestrian skywalk system users correlates closely with age, but don't closely with level of education; 5. The constitution of skywalk s correlates closely with perceptive feeling of pedestrian skywalk system user , but care convenience don't; 6. The perceptive quality of pedestrian skywalk system users is improving optic-space better than conerence of landscaping. Tianyow Chern 陳天佑 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 70 zh-TW |
