碩士 === 中華大學 === 應用數學學系(所) === 96 === Abstract This research aims to explore the relation between Multi-aptitude Test and the General Scholastic Ability Test. 231 senior high school graduates from Municipal Taichung Chungming High School are the samples to be examined and analyzed under the method of Pearson’s theory and the descriptive statistics. The findings of this research are as follows: 1. The language ability shows a high positive correlation with the performance of every subject as well as the total scores. 2. The mathematic deduction ability is only related to mathematic. Machinery deduction ability is connected with natural science. The spatial ability is clearly irrelevant to the performance on English. And there is no sign to show that consciousness speed ability is relevant to any test subject. 3. The language, the mathematical deduction, and the abstract abilities are connected with mathematic, natural science, and total scores. 4. The related coefficients of erratum is related to total scores, the performance on Chinese , natural science, social science, while the related coefficients of grammar and rhetoric are closely connected to total scores as well as Chinese.
