| Summary: | 碩士 === 長榮大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班(EMBA) === 96 === In today’s world, we are facing the environment with continuously changing rules for living, in which the conventional traditions and habits are shocked and destabilized by new variations. News reporters have to deal with the rapidly changing working environment on the one part, competitions from print media, electronic media and Internet media, and the pressure of quickly covering new events, on the other part, the overloaded tasks and highly pressured working ecology are challenging the ability of reporters in dealing with adversity. This research attempts to construct an appropriate model for measuring the adversity quotient for domestic news reporters.
Through literature review, focus group interview and conducting AHP hierarchical analysis by delivering questionnaires to eight scholars, mass media directors and experts, this research calculated the factorial weights in each hierarchical level through antithetic evaluation. After arrangement of the result of questionnaires, this research constructed a measuring model of adversity quotient for domestic news reporters.
The measuring model in this research consists of four dimensions of “Control”, “Origin / Ownership”, “Reach” and “Endurance”, and this research discussed 20 questions under these four dimensions. The main results discovered include:
The order of importance of evaluating dimensions ranked by the professionals was “control”, “Origin / Ownership”, “Reach” and “Endurance.” However the results from questionnaire survey with samples of news reporters, they considered the order of anti-adversity ability was “Reach”, “Endurance”, “control” and “Origin / Ownership ”. There exists significant difference between importance of dimension and practical implementation.
Construct a formula of calculating the weighted-average model for evaluating the news reporters through questionnaires from professionals and empirical samples and the weights of adversity quotients.
This research constructs a measuring model of adversity quotient, which provide a complete and strict analysis model as reference for future researchers in theoretical research and the mass media practitioners in practice.
