碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of leisure participation on retirement attitude, social support, and life adjustment of retired teachers in Nantou County. By the questionnaire investigation, the total number of questionnaires was 510 and valid number was 337. SPSS 12.0 was used to do the data statistic and item analysis, reliability estimation, descriptive statistics, multiple-regression-analysis and hierarchical multiple regression were adopted for the data analysis. The results of this study were found were as below. Firstly, that sex, age, surplus of money, perception of health, marriage status of demographics had parts of significant effects on leisure participation and life adjustment of retired teachers. Secondly, the mean of total life adjustment was 4.08, and the highest mean score of life adjustment subscales was family adjustment (M=4.35), the rest of them followed by physical adjustment (M=4.26), social adjustment (M=4.11), and psychological adjustment (M=4.08). Thirdly, leisure participation had disturbed effects on retired attitude, social support and life adjustment. The suggestion of this study was that family or friends should take care more on psychological and social adjustment of retired teachers, and encouraged them participated more activities in community.
