How to choose a safely structural designed car seat becomes an important issue. Also, easy to carry and save car space are other considerations to parents when choosing a car seat. Therefore baby stroller and car seat dual purpose compact products enter the market. This thesis addresses a method to analyze the mechanism and structure of a baby stroller-car seat dual purpose product to ensure the safety of using the product. First, choose a market available baby stroller-car seat dual purpose product and computer model it by using the software SolidWorks. Then, import the solid model into the mechanism analysis software ADAMS to simulate the dual purpose motion. This step is to analyze the motion interference and ensure the safety of tendons. Finally, the model will be meshed and proceeding finite element analysis by using software COSMOS/Works to ensure the structural safety. Besides the strength analysis, fatigue failure and endurance are also considered in the article. Results from this thesis would be a good reference for baby stroller and/or car seat design.
