Nevertheless nowadays the essential comfortableness for campus library has not been completely under control, therefore this research is to conduct full scale measured research for environmental temperature, humidity, wind speed at the public spaces between the B1 to 4th floor of Feng Chia University. The intent is to understand the impact to user’s reading comfortableness from each space under indoor air-conditioned environment. And this research is to provide as the appraisal indices for indoor air-conditioned environment planning and design for future campus library. And the embarrassment of current library’s indoor air-conditioned environment would be rectified and enhanced so as to reach the goal of creating superior reading environment for campus library. In the process of this research, and through the surveyed data and information for indoor air-conditioned environment for overall campus library, this research applied measurement instrumentation to conduct measurements for wind speed at the air vent for each space area, horizontal humidity distribution for each space and indoor environmental changes resulted from different positions in space and different floors. In addition, this research applied software to conduct analyses on wind speed, temperature and humidity distributions so as to create the database for “library comfortableness”. And through exploring setups, quantities, positions for dispositions, setups for air-conditioning humidity in addition whether the appropriate tonnage for main air-conditioning units, then this research conducted actual measurements and analyses through constructing elements to establish reference datum for the comfortableness study. Then this research compiled datum and values for each composing elements and the relevant values from campus library setups to conduct comparison analyses so as to establish the campus library comfortableness datum and information to finally provide as reference foundation for campus library planning and design purpose. From the findings of actual measurements, the indoor air-conditioned temperatures for both high and low floors were affected rather in a limited fashion by outside temperature variation. Therefore by properly setting up the indoor temperature adjustments can provide viable comfortableness for indoor conditioned environment. Hence it is suggested to conduct proper temperature control, disposition for air-vent in addition to distributed area at the vent outlets so as to expect the campus library be transformed into green buildings of energy saving, and to reach the final goal of providing with comfortable reading environment in the end.
