This study uses the subordinates in the domestic profit and non-profit organizations as research observers. 420 formal questionnaires were sent out and 357 were returned. Out of those returned questionnaires, 336 or 80% were valid. The empirical analysis shows the following results. 1. Effect on job satisfaction is higher for transactional leadership in profit organizations than non-profit organizations. Effect on job satisfaction is higher for transformational leadership in non-profit organizations than profit organizations. 2. There is a positive interfering effect on transformational leadership and job satisfaction by the internal locus of control in the profit organizations. Internal locus of control do not have interfereing effect on transactional leadership and job satifaction in the profit organizations. External locus of control do have a positive interfering effect on transformational leadership and job satifaction in the profit organizations. There is a negative interfereing effect on the transactional leadership and job satisfaction by the external locus of control in the profit organizations. 3. There is a positive interfereing effect on transformational leadership and job satisfaction by the internal locus of control in the non-profit organizations. There is a negative interfereing effect on transactional leadership and job satisfaction by the internal locus of control in the non-profit organizations. There is a positive interfereing effect on transformational leadership and job satisfaction by the external locus of control in the non-profit organizations.
