Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 化學系 === 96 === The hydrogen-generating capability of the bacterium strain FCY1 , sorted from Yang-Ming-Shang hot spring has been confirmed by our lab. The purpose of this study is to examine the biological production of hydrogen from various carbohydrate sources with this strain. This study uses the carbon sources that are commonly available in daily life ,such as corn starch, potato starch, molasses , and glucose. Our result shows the molasses has the best efficiency in hydrogen production rate, i.e., 0.024263 mmole/day/g/L (27.71%) . Adding the metallic ions to the medium has different effects in hydrogen production.Iron ion , calcium ion and magnesium ion at 0.001 mole/L exhibit the better efficiency in hydrogen generation. In addition , the biohydrogen production from carbohydrates in a conventional continuous stirred tahk type bioreactor (CSTR) was studied . On the other hand , biohydrogen production in CSTR with a packed bed using different support matrices was also examined . It was found the bioreactor packed with nylon filter has the best efficiency . Using the molasses in CSTR has the hydrogen production of 0.0367 L/h/L
