A Study on Relationship among Job Stress, Leisure Participation and Health Condition of Apothecary Pharmacist in Taipei

碩士 === 華梵大學 === 工業工程與經營資訊學系碩士班 === 96 === Abstract Objective: The medical resources has been always kept and monopolized by medical field and the professionals and importance of pharmacists in medical treatment has also been ignored for so long that they become the weak side of medical system. As the medical system changes and the government practices separation of prescribing and dispensing, the very important role of pharmacists in medical system are found and they also face the never-been challenge and pressure. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among job stress, leisure participation and health condition of apothecary pharmacist in Taipei. Methods: A total of 220 questionnaires were sent and 169 out of these 220 questionnaires were valid samples to collect data and the response rate was 76.82%. This research focuses on “apothecary pharmacist in Taipei”. Results: SPSS for Window 13.00 was used for analysis. Study results are as follows: 1. Found out from the present condition of apothecary pharmacist in Taipei. (1) From the present condition of job stress, the most they feel from is the institutional stress. (2) From the present condition of leisure participation, the most activities people attend are entertainment and recreational. (3) From the present condition of physical and mental health after leisure participation, physical and mental health of apothecary pharmacists in Taipei are generally good; minority of them are not feeling well. 2. Found out from the personal attributes of apothecary pharmacist in Taipei. (1) There are significant differences from different gender and working years in work pressure. (2) There are significant differences from different gender, age and working years in leisure participation. (3) There are significant differences from different gender, marital status, number of children, and working years in body and mental health condition. 3. Found out from the leisure participation and work pressure of apothecary pharmacist in Taipei. (1) Government pressure and the interior activities of leisure participations have lower positively correlated relationship; on the contrary, the former and entertainment activities have lower negative correlated relationship. (2) The pressure of patients and the outdoor activities of leisure participations have lower positively correlated relationship; on the contrary, the former and entertainment activities have lower negative correlated relationship. (3) Institutional pressure and the entertainment activities of leisure participations have negative correlated relationship. (4) Individuals pressure and the outdoor activities of leisure participations have lower positively correlated relationship; on the other hand, travel activities and entertainment activities have lower negative correlated relationship. 4. Found out from the leisure participation and body and mental health condition of apothecary pharmacist in Taipei. (1) Physical and mental health condition and the travel activities and entertainment activities of leisure participations have lower negative correlated relationship; mental activities and hobby activities have lower positively correlated relationship. (2) Biliousness and the travel activities of leisure participation have lower positively correlated relationship. Conclusion: 1. Suggestions to apothecary pharmacist in Taipei: Try to take leisure participations as much as possible to improve body and mental health, and not to do leisure participations which are over their own limits. 2. Suggestions to pharmacist association: To make a good plan of leisure participations for apothecary pharmacist to help them enjoy the pleasure of leisure in the spare time of work and strengthen their health. 3. Suggestions to supervisor department of health: When opening some continuous education classes, they can consider adding classes such as motion management, interpersonal, response to pressure, information about medicine and so on. They should also do more guidance on people about correct usage for medicine. 4. Suggestions to the following researchers: Enlarge the area of this research, and make researches on different characteristics of apothecary pharmacists.
