It is proposes to understand the relationship between knowledge creation and intellectual capital. In this study, intellectual capital defined into three constructs: human capital, structural capital and relationship capital; knowledge creation defined into two constructs: exploitative innovation and exploratory innovation. The empirical results from 104 effective observations exhibit the following findings: first, in franchising intellectual capital is objective with knowledge creation. Second, the more intellectual capital and the ability of knowledge creation lead to the better KM performance. This study is contributive on several reasons to lead to the more knowledge creation activities, included customers relationship, suppliers relationship and creation procedure. Besides, this study attempts to explore the feasibility of employing intellectual capital perspective on the study of franchising context.
