Because light guide plate is one of the most important components of LCD backlight module and control the optical brightness value and the uniformity distribution of LCD. Therefore, in order to improve the LCD display efficiency and brightness uniformity, we must be aimed at designing the micro-structures on light guide plates. The design of V-Cut micro-structure on the light guide plates is the important point of this study, and we are aimed at the influences between V-Cut micro-structure and optical brightness distribution. In the analysis of this study, the V-Cut angle, V-Cut density, V-Cut depth on the bottom of light guide plate, as well as the V-Cut angle, V-Cut density, V-Cut depth on the light incident side, and the LED structure in front of lighting surface were selected and then the geometrical influencing factors will be changed to investigate the condition of optical brightness distribution. Based on the analyzed results, the V-Cut density at the bottom of the micro-structure is bigger; the light concentrating in front of LGP is easier. And when the depth was changed, the effect of changing density in the meantime was better than changing angle. However, when the angle was changed, the effect of changing depth was better than changing density. When the density of V-Cut on the light incident side is increased, the light is more easily concentrated in the front region of light source. When the angle was changed, the effect of changing density in the meantime was better than changing angle. However, when the angle was changed, the effect of changing depth was better than changing density. Based on the analyzed results of constructing the arc-shaped structure on the LED surface, the brightness was higher 450~600 lm than no arc-shaped structure, and the ratio of highest brightness and lowest brightness is increased from 10:3 to 10:8.
