Previous research has suggested the potential influence of distance factors on employee overseas adaptation. This study tries to extend concept of distance influences and proposes the existence of psychic distance. Further, this study also investigate the relationship between employee psychic distance and overseas adaptation from empirical investigation of 112 Taiwanese expatriates in Mainland China and Southeast countries, and finds that: individualism positively affects work adaptation; power distance negatively affect work adaptation; masculinity positively affect interaction adaptation; location advantage positively affect work adaptation and general adaptation.
