Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 機械與精密工程研究所 === 96 === A typical Back Light Module (BLM) consists of a light guide plate (LGP) and some optical components, such as prism sheets, diffusive sheets, and reflective sheets. The main function of a LGP is to control that light transmitting direction and reach high luminance and high uniformity. In this study, Taguchi method was used to design the 14” LGP with microstructures on both sides, the function of the microstructure on the light exiting side is to perform as a prism sheet. TracePro software was used for optical analysis in this study, and it is found that the LGP with 100。V-CUT structures of 20µm height on the exiting side can achieve better luminance performance. Electroforming of the mold inserts and molding of the LGP were performed in this study. Compared with one prism sheet dot-etched LGP, the LGP designed and molded in this study increases the luminance from 1405 nits to 1764 nits, the improvement rate is up to 25.6%.
