Therefore, managers must possess competence of cross-cultural management especially in understanding dispositions, behaviors and cultural background differences between Taiwan and foreign cabin attendants to integrate personal work goal with company’s goal so that the job performance can be improved. This study would investigate the native culture characteristics and perceived performance of cabin attendants from Taiwan and Thailand and further examine their relationship according to Hofstede's theory. A questionnaire with three parts such as native culture, job performance and personal information was designed to collect data and sent to 500 subjects by Snowball sampling method. The major data analysis methods include descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and regression analysis. These results are as follows, firstly, cabin attendants from Taiwan and Thailand show obvious perceptivity differences in native culture and job performance. Secondly, for Taiwan cabin attendants, different personal variables such as marital status, religious belief, age, monthly income and working time are significantly related to the factor of the native culture and job performance. For Thailand cabin attendants, different personal variable such as working time is significantly related to the factor of the native culture. Thirdly, cabin attendants from Taiwan and Thailand show the strength correlation between native culture and job performance. Finally, there are strength correlation and part of predictability between native culture and job performance. The results might be helpful to academics as well as practical management.
