| Summary: | 碩士 === 立德大學 === 資訊傳播研究所 === 96 === Animation movies, especially the innovations of animaiton-movie plots, are curcial factors that affect how successful the animation movies are. Thus, this study aims on studying how the elements of the animation-movie plots affect the success of animaiton moives. The main purpose of this study is to bring up the five main
elements of animation movies: love for family members, friendship, love for lovers, adventure and humor, and use the five elements to analyze the top ten Best-selling 3D animation movies.
First, the elements of some impressing and well-liked animation movies were introduced, as well as the motivation of this study. Secondly, starting with the concepts of the elements of animation-movie plots, the concepts of animation-moveis scripts, characteristics and strucutre were introduced. Moreover,five animation-movie plot elements were concluded from a number of former scholars’ issues. After that, the five elements were adopted to analyze the top ten best sold animation movies, the length, percentage and relative percentage of each
movie were documented and analyzed. Finally, The Method of Grey Relational Analysis was adopted as the method of analysis to analyze how the five elements of the top ten best sold animation movies were related to how successful those animation movies were.
The results of this study revealed that all five of the elements are crucial elements that affect how successful the animation movies were, and how much these elements affect the success of the animation movies were ranked as below:
1. love for lovers, 2. humor, 3. love for family members, 4. adventure, 5. friendship.
