Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 國際事務研究所碩士班 === 96 === After the twentieth century, the expanding industry and developing science as well as technology not only make human life become more plentiful but also create more products and consumption. On the other hand, economic activities also increase over-consumption and cause depletion of natural resources. Furthermore, the earth, the environment and the ecological balance are destroyed by pollution, wastes and noxious materials. Enterprise’s operation also has a great influence and impact on the environment, such as the usage of toxic materials and problems of dealing with wastes. Gradually, many governments and Environment and Conservation Organizations are aware that the development of human has faced a serious crisis. As a result, every enterprise starts taking environmental issues and design seriously when the environmental laws are enacted, e.g., WEEE, RoHS and EuP regulations. By executing design of environment, corporations can decrease wastes in the beginning of product life cycle, reduce pollution in the process of production and keep sustainability of nature. Therefore, issues on design of environment become more and more important. This research discusses what factors drive enterprises to implement design of environment. This research takes analytic hierarchy process, AHP, to discuss the main factors motivating enterprises to put design of environment into practice and the relative weight among each factor. Three findings are discovered in this research. Firstly, the importance of external factors in sequence that thrust enterprises to implement design of environment is international standards, customer consciousness and competitive pressure. Secondly, the order of internal factors is enhancement of enterprise images, products stewardship and enterprise integration. Thirdly, due to the different responsibilities and working contents, each department has diverse cognition and attitudes toward Design of Environment.
