The comprehensiveness and all-encompassing range of it could be properly related to the interdisciplinary subjects of religion, mathematics, astrology, medical science, aesthetics, and architecture. This treatise draws the idea mainly on “change” from Zhouyi and attempts to integrate it with “management”, including the former studies of scholars of Zhouyi, to discover the inner value of Zhouyi, and develops the methods of avoiding conflict and controlling change in a commercial organization. In a word, the rich philosophy of Zhouyi could bring forth the new applied value to our traditional culture as we combine it with the modern methods of management. This treatise includes five chapters. Chapter one, “Introduction”, illustrates the motive, purpose, dimensions and methods to this treatise. Chapter two, “General discuss on the theory of ‘change’ and ‘management’ ”, starts with the discussion of definition and content of management, then of the theory of management between Chinese and Western culture. Chapter three, “Recapitulation of Zhouyi and of its character of change management”, first come the general introduction to the concept related to the Zhouyi, then remarks on the connection of its philosophy and change management. Chapter four, “The pattern and spirit of change management in Zhouyi”, discusses the application of pattern and spirit of change management to the change stages——preparation, execution, verification——of Zhouyi.
