Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 土木工程學系所 === 96 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the shear behavior of self-consolidating concrete (SCC) beams under static load. A total of 24 beam specimens were made in this study : the first eight were normal concrete (NC) beams, the second eight were type I self-consolidating concrete (SCCI) beams, and the third were type II self-consolidating concrete (SCCII) beams. SCCI contained more coarse aggregate while SCCII contained less coarse aggregate. The size of the specimens was 240 mm 360 mm 3500 mm. The parameters included concrete strength, shear span-to-depth ratio, strength of transverse reinforcement, amount of shear reinforcement, and value of transverse reinforcement. The results show that: 1. The SCCI specimens have higher cracking shear strength than NC, and those of SCCII are close to NC. 2. The SCCI specimens have approximately the same ultimate shear strength as NC, while SCCII specimens have less ultimate shear strength than NC. 3. At ultimate, strains of transverse reinforcement in SCCI and SCCII specimens were less than those in NC. 4. The SCCI specimens have similar stiffness and shear ductility with NC, while SCCII specimens have less stiffness and shear ductility than NC. 5. The ACI shear design equations overestimate the concrete contribution to ultimate shear strength. The Zsutty shear design equations for ultimate shear strength are more accurate than ACI equations. 6. SCCI and SCCII specimens have smaller crack widths than NC at the same loads. 7. The current ACI code requires that fyt to be smaller than 413.69 MPa could be increased to some extent for SCCI.
