It has derived a succession of financial market crisis in Taiwan, and bankers become more conservative toward business loans. Many bankers focus their business on increasing consumptive loans. New financial product design appeared, such as cash card was emerged then. As cash card yields more profit, the market are so competitive that bankers reduce required qualifications of cash cards. Even more, they don''t check the credit risk of applicants to increase cards issued. As a result, cash card market becomes unstable, and social problems happen in succession. It impacts Taiwan''s economic growth and international competition indirectly. This study explores the factors of customer''s default risk and influence banks'' creditor rights assurance. The observations are taken from internal information of a selected bank. By analyzing the cash card customers to conclude vital factors which influence cash card default risk, this study finds the factors that influence default risk and banks'' creditor rights assurance. It advices bankers better decisions on risk management, improves performance, and creates more competitive advantage. By logistic regression model, this study finds that six factors influence customer''s default risk, including the rate of cash card circulation, the rate of credit card circulation, personal disposable income per month, personal income/expense ratio per month, late payment or paid less than minimum number of times due within six months, total amount of unsecured loan / monthly salary. There are six factors to influence banks'' creditor rights assurance, including marital status, type of insurance, personal disposable income per month, personal income/expense ratio per month, late payment or paid less than minimum number of times due within six months, real estate. Furthermore, the effects of three factors that influence customer''s default risk are not found in other studies, personal disposable income per month, personal income/expense ratio per month, total amount of unsecured loan / monthly salary. The effects of factors to banks'' creditor rights assurance are not found in other studies are significant variables, including, marital status, type of insurance, personal disposable income per month, personal income/expense ratio per month , late payment or paid less than minimum number of times due within six months, real estate. In contrast to other studies found in the literature, we have substantial distributions in this study.
