Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 水利及海洋工程學系專班 === 96 === The irrigation style of Taiwan early ages was mostly casual and the field irrigation channels were earth ditches. Till 1970’s in order to improve irrigation efficiency and prevent water conveyance loses, earth ditches were gradually changed into cement lining ditches. And now the social environment changes rapidly resulted to agricultural population gradually decreased so this study focus on the improvement of irrigation efficiency and the increase of crop production. The comparison study of field water conveyance facilities is based on open channels and piping of Chianan Irrigation Association. But with the vast territory of Chianan Irrigation Association, after terrain conditions investigation and inquiry senior employees, the 14th sub-lateral irrigation area of Baiho reservoir was selected as a subject of research and data collecting in order to find most suitable field water conveyance facilities. Those related data are analyzed and evaluated with hydraulic calculations, cost calculations and feasibility. Moreover, piping is relatively better choice of water conveyance facilities after evaluations of irrigation operation, engineering cost and maintains management. But since Chianan irrigation area mostly belongs to placid plain, it is difficult to process piping irrigation. Therefore, open channels irrigation is more feasible and trapezoidal lining ditches engineering is the most economic way. Although open channels irrigation is more feasible, the future agriculture might need more precious irrigation ways for the social environment change and WTO’s impacts. Piping irrigation may become the future tendency for the sustainable agriculture management. For piping irrigation, intensive farms are suggested and the setting of adjustment pools and pumping stations is needed.
