Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 水利及海洋工程學系碩博士班 === 96 === The Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is applied to measure and visualize the effects of turbulent jet flow field with regular wave condition. In order to compare the difference of jet flow field and vorticity between various ratios of jet flow and wave flow velocity, we set jet speed as a constant value instead of changing wave speed as well. Besides, the trajectory of jet flow is also made by plotting velocity profile in various heights. According to the experiment results, it is found that the vertical velocity of jet flow decrease along with the trajectory, and keep a periodic motion with wave crest and trough. Large scale vortex is observed when water particles move downward during the process. When the relative water depth, h/L, becomes smaller, the central structure of large scale vortex becomes longer as well. And when the wave period becomes longer, the jet velocity decrease hurry and distribution more homogenize.
