The sample in this study consisted of 937 students from 6 junior high schools in the metropolitans of Taiwan. In this study, statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and nested regression model analysis. The results of this study were summarized as follows:(a)parent-child relationship has effect on internet usage of Junior High School Students, but peer relationship, external control, ego-resilience and depressive mood do not; (b)when controlling the effect of parent-child relationship, peer relationship, external control, ego-resilience, depressive mood at the same time, only parent-child relationship has relationship with internet usage of Junior High School Students;(c)when considering the different impacts of gander, the results found that parent-child relationship has significant negative effect on male and female. However, peer relationship only has significant positive effect on female; external control has significant negative effect on male while has significant positive effect on female. These findings showed there are differences influences of interpersonal relationship and individual characteristics on internet usage of Junior High School Students across gander.
