In order to win the game season, professional baseball team often will do a 3-month spring or pre-season training program. Therefore, the purposes of this study were to investigate the preseason training effect of the La New bear professional baseball team, especially on muscular endurance of upper extremity, abdominal, explosiveness of abdominal-waist, lower extremity, speed of sprint, agility, and cardiovascular endurance. The test item included 10 sec trunk flexion and rotation, vertical jump, pull up, 50m sprint, 10m×4 shuttle run, push up, 30 sec sit up and tempo run, etc were test at pre, mid, and post season. The repeated one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the difference periods between pre, mid, and post-season on test variables. The findings are as follows: there are significant improve on the agility, speed, 10 sec trunk flexion and rotation after 3 months of spring training, however, no change on the muscular endurance of upper extremity, vertical jump, and cardiovascular endurance after pre-season training. In conclusion, La New Bear professional baseball players improved on anaerobic ability including speed, agility, and abdominal twist power, but no effect on the ability of power and cardiovascular endurance.
