碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 工學院碩士在職專班精密與自動化工程組 === 96 === The purpose of this research is to evaluate the glass panel strength on a LCD module by steel ball drop test. The factors which affect the strength of the glass panel including glass defects（cracks caused from scribe/break or handling process）and support-structure design（polarizer、optic clear adhesive、glass fixed adhesive、bezel ..etc.）were then discussed. An ANSYS/LS-DYNA simulation model was also established, the result were compared the experiments. The result of this study showed that optic clear adhesive on the glass is the most effective factor against panel broken problems.
