In addition, people pay more and more attentions to the security equipment for the individual, the family and the community. Due to the large demands of the security equipments, more and more company and manufacturer focus in surveillance industry. The trend of the development of camera products will be digitization and networking. Network communication and system integration will become the basic essential technical competence for surveillance product makers. How Taiwan makers, especially in IP camera, would strategically embrace such great opportunity is an interesting issue to study. This research first studied relevant literatures about this issue to serve as the theoretical basis of the thesis. After the data collected, such as market survey, marketing trend, technologies, applications and suppliers, etc., the research takes the perspectives from the subject company S to analyze strategies competitiveness of the IP surveillance manufacturer by SWOT, five- force model and value chain. The findings could contribute the future development of the security surveillance products as well as business models.
