Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 企業管理學系國際企業經營管理 === 96 === Due to the raising costs of raw materials triggered by crud oil, It becomes a vast challenge for the enterprises to look into an efficient and timely solution to operate the administration in cost-efficient way in prompt response to the market fluctuation and customer expectation. The subject that has raised an spreading interest in the modern enterprises is termed as “ Supply Chain Management ” which is widely verified as an effective tool to study resource planning. The Supply Chain Management ( SCM ) is not found widely in study on the enterprises in Taiwan. In-depth survey is required to take into account the difference in culture in Taiwan and its enterprises , characteristics of each enterprise in different industry , the impact of exterior factors , and the degree of IT applied.
The main interest in the study is to apply SCM in the Tire Industry of Taiwan. The company Cheng Shin Tire ( CST , officially named as Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Ltd ) is chosen as a model in study in hope to establish a effective model for the references of interest. CST has been the largest tire manufacture in Taiwan and awarded as one of the top ten enterprises in Taiwan for the branding achievement by value. CST is the only tire manufacturer in the ranking. SCM is installed as approach to analyze operational system of CST and establishment of Business Strategy.
The theme starts with analysis of Tires industry that has been characterized with there main features : the high barriers to entry and withdrawlal , market maturity and competitiveness of the market ; secondly , as the main subject in the study , this part is to explore its strong linkage of enterprise operational administration and its Business Strategy. Discussions include the case study of Supply Chain Management and the goals of business operation strategies. The process , the future strategies planning would be reviewed and adjusted in response to the need of the actual performance adjusted by actual operation under the concept of “ demand planning of SCM ” and the final step of demand performance of SCM , “ Supply planning of SCM “. Last , is to monitor the planned.
As an effective tool , the SCM makes contribution to the well performance of CST in its sales revenue and operation efficiency. It proves to be an feasible method and approach for the interests in the industry in Taiwan.
