碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導與諮商學系所 === 96 === The purpose of the thesis is to study the fatherhood of deviation-behaved teenagers and how it related to their deviation behavior. This research takes the “Family System Theory” approach as “basic or generic qualitative study” method. This study conducts “depth interviews” with ten junior high school students in the middle Taiwan region who has at least two “demerits”. The data collected from the interview suggests: 1. Fathers are usually absent from family life. 2. Fathers mainly act as financial sponsors. 3. An inflexible parent-children subsystem lacks of boundary permeability. 4. Fathers usually participate when it’s too late, thus ineffective. 5. The role of fatherhood falls too rigid and inflexible. Further analysis from class and gender aspects also shows: 1. Participants’ families tend to handle deviation behavior matters with abusive method. 2. Participants’ school tends to react to deviation behavior by “demerits” or/and notifying parents. 3. The majority of the participants come from underprivileged. 4. Both mother and father follow the traditional prototype roles. Their relationship suffers from stiffness and disengagement. 5. Participants acknowledge the existence of sexual discrimination against female in their families. 6. Female participants express the frustration of the sexual discrimination in the society. In addition to the results and discussions, this research also proposes several suggestions to counseling professionals, parent education, the government and social constitutions, and further researches.
