Summary:博士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導與諮商學系所 === 96 === The Interpretation of Breast Cancer Patients for Group counseling experience Abstract This study aimed to understand the interpretation of breast cancer patients for group psychological counseling experience and how the interpretation was formed. The interpretive interactionism was adopted for six group members who finished operation at least 6 months and attended 4 times, 24 hours unstructured group workshop. The findings are as follows, 1.The interpretation refers to why they got sick, how they suffered and how to relieve from suffer. Enlightenment has arised after integrating of counseling that affected personal emotions, self, human relationship, the execution and experiment outside of the group. 2.The core theme of interpretation for group counseling was “ whether the group was beneficial or not” and “Restructure present situation and myself” 3.The benefit of group counseling according to the time sequence was from personal emotions→self and human relationship→body and spirit. Oppositely, non beneficial experience was occurred :(1) Disputation of different causes of disease. (2) Different group experience from the previous experience. (3) Did not match the original expectation. Acceptance and understanding each other within the group was the key point for beneficial experience or not. 4.The pathway of personal difficulty and experimental action reveals.The forming “enlighten and alone action”, “action after enlighten”, “Understanding after action”, “gradual understanding after action”, “trapped on understanding and action” and “review and learn something new”of different models show their own typical style by using group experience. 5.Disease itself forced members to change, but they were not sure how to deal with. Group counseling could help them move toward being the authentic self . 6.The meaning of disease covered with the human relationship difficulty that affected the way of being . 7.The interpretation of members is also a reflection of being, not only the result of group counseling. Suggestions for clinical counseling work, community psychological health and future research are proposed according to the result. Key words: breast cancer patient;group counseling;interpretation
