Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 藝術教育研究所 === 96 === “Listen to a Different Voice: A Case Study of Children’s Experience in the Red-Leaves Local Folkgame Hall.” This research was designed to explore the attributions and educational meanings of a local children museum. This essay focuses on the individual contexts of children who visit the study field. The main purpose is to unfold the meaning of attending the activities provided by the museum in regarding to the individual contexts including personal, sociocultural, and physical standpoints. The final contribution for running a local cultural museum is based on the participants’ experience, feeling, and thought. Therefore, this study suggests a point connected the local culture museum with the school art education. To be a culture place for people in terms of lifelong learning place is emerging. This qualitative research methodology is employed by this study. The questionnaire is also used for this study. This study investigates both children who attend and not to unfold the characters of potential visitors of the local cultural museum. Children’s experience in museum are mainly found as follows: The personal contexts: 1. "Play" raises children a series of interesting; 2. The degree of being in a local cultural museum is associated with the consciousness and concept of “time”; 3. To define the characteristic of folkgame by children affects the way of display; 4. The style of kid's rat can indicate the children’s preference on the attribute of mascot; 5. While visiting the Local Folkgame Hall, children perceive the message based on personal aspect and link their own knowledge and experiences. The contexts of socioculture: 6. The children take their peer and community relationship seriously; 7. The children need instructor as the bridge of interpersonal relationship. The contexts of physical: 8. The children understand the features of local culture through their multi-sensory experience; 9. The Local Folkgame Hall should build the demonstration rooms and has a route that is simple and easy understanding; 10. In order to increase the children’s learning motivation and interest, the display card should be interesting for outdoor illustration and connecting to children’s life experience for an indoor explanation; 11. The museum needs to consider the visual and audio individual difference learning material for young learners. This study conducts several suggestions including the children's museum experiences, the level of educational activity programs, and the present dilemma and improvement direction for the Local Folkgame Hall. The conclusions made by this study can be the important references for the Red-Leaves Local Folkgame Hall to improve their business model. And, the study method and process can help other local cultural museums to understand their visitors and audience. This study hope that other museums can also plan their educational programs which is suitable for visitors in different ages by understanding their needs. Therefore, the education of museum can achieve the goal of localization and multi-culture coexistence. Keywords: Local cultural museum, visitor study, museum experience
