Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 農學研究所 === 96 === Ecotourism can achieve ecological preservation through interpretation service. By ecological interpretation, eco-tourists can know more about specific natural environment, pay more attention to local environment, enjoy new spiritual feeling, and take more aggressive action to environment preservation. To achieve the objectives of preservation, education and recreation, this study is to investigate the relationship between eco-tourists’ characteristics, travel motivation, interpretation service demand and satisfaction level. By convenience sampling, 278 questionnaires were handed out, of which 265 are reclaimed, thus the effective-questionnaire-reclaim-rate of 95.3%. All the collected data are analyzed by means of general-descriptive-statistics, T-test, analysis of variance, among other analytical methodologies. Based on the study stated as above, I'd like to propose certain recommendations as below, for the benefits of decision making by the(1) eco-tourists of different characteristics have different travel motivation; (2) eco-tourists of different characteristics have different interpretation service demand; (3) eco-tourists’ travel motivation and interpretation service demand are correlated; (4) eco-tourists’ travel motivation may impact their interpretation service satisfaction level; and (5) eco-tourists’ interpretation service demand may impact their interpretation service satisfaction level. Based on the research findings, suggestions associated with the planning and management of the Pheasant-tailed Jacana Restoration Area are made for related government agencies.
