Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處教育行政碩士專班 === 96 === This study is mainly adopted the “Department of Development” of “Learned & Accomplished and Grandly Achievement (LAGA)” University as the case study to explore its implementation of the process of self-evaluation, difficulties in such process, supporting status of administrative units and the influence on “Department of development”; in addition, according to the research results, proposed some suggestions to LAGA University, “Department of development” and education competent authorities for the improvement in implementing the follow-up self-study. This study has used these following research methods, such as documental analysis, interview and checklist to collect and analyze the information, as well as made use of the researcher’s individual observation record and reflective note to make further exploration. Purposively sampled three personnel from the interviewees, they were “member of Self-evaluation Group”, “Head of the Department of Development” and “Administrative Staff of Department of Development”, respectively. According to the research purpose, this study has generalized these following collusions: 1. Insufficient inner motivation of self- evaluation in “Department of Development” that influenced the efficiency of self-review. 2. Insufficient manpower and complicated process of information preparation that resulted in the mental resistance of administrative personnel to the self-evaluation. 3. Leaders may even give great effort to support the work of self-study, and the administrative system may also engage in providing the information. 4. “Department of Development” can make use of the expertise of its teaching faculty to establish the self- evaluation strategy. 5. Self- evaluation can be contributive to the development of transformation for “Department of Development”. 6. LAGA University has no such follow-up tracking system for the improving status of its departments and institutes that will influence the efficiency of self-evaluation.
