Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處教育行政碩士專班 === 96 === Abstract This study is mainly understood current phase for the implementation status of archives management in public elementary schools of these four counties and cities: Taoyuan County, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City and Miaoli County, and to explore the operating situation of archives management in public elementary schools, as well as the situation of checking, accepting, filing and cataloguing archives, the situation of archives cleaning operation, the situation of archives preservation and maintenance, the informationalized degree of archives management, the situation of archives application and service, and the encountered difficulties and improvement methods. To achieve the abovementioned purpose, this study has firstly carried out the organization and analysis on literature collection to construct the structure of this study and compile the “Research Questionnaire of Implementation Status Quo of Archives Management in Public Elementary Schools - Taking Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli Areas as Examples” as the research tool. Also, this study has adopted principals, directors, section chiefs and archives management personnel of those public elementary schools in Taoyuan County, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City and Miaoli County as the research object, and applied with stratified random sampling to sample 745 persons as the survey object. The number of returned valid questionnaire was 508 with a usability of 68.19%; in addition, purposively sampled 6 archives management relevant persons to conduct the interview. After analyzed the result of data collection, this study has mainly obtained the following conclusions: I.Implementation Status of archives management in public elementary schools in 4 counties and cities of Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli areas 1.Set the responsible unit and designated personnel to handle the archives management 2.Good archives’ checking, accepting, filing and cataloguing operations 3.Insufficiently conduct the archives cleaning operation, it should be strengthened and improved 4.As for the operation of archives preservation and maintenance, it should be strengthened and improved 5.Well-developed informationalization for archives, and the systematic function is sufficient for the demand in the business of archives management 6.Most of them have not yet established the archives application service place and also have not yet provided application service for the public.。 II.Encountered Difficulties in archives management in public elementary schools in 4 counties and cities of Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli areas 1.Insufficient manpower and budget for the implementation of archives management, as well as the professional knowledge should be strengthened and improved. 2.Insufficient space and equipment and no archives office for the archives preservation and maintenance. 3.As for the archives application service, it showed the problems that there has not yet established the archives application service site, not yet provided the archives acquisition application service and insufficient application for archives, etc. III.Improvement Measures of archives management in public elementary schools in 4 counties and cities of Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli areas 1.The improvement measures of County (City) Government to assist in schools’ archives management are: County and City Government should be allocated budget to subsidize each school for replenishing each facility of archives management and regularly process the professional training program for archives management, and practically implement the reduction in official document to upgrade the administrative efficiency and service quality. 2.The improvement measures of schools for archives management are: year after year, evenly subsidize budget to replenish each facility of archives management, actively participate in professional knowledge training, strengthen the archives application service, and actively and progressively strive for principal’s emphasis and support.
