碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處社會學習領域碩士班 === 96 === For the purpose of rejuvenating economic activities in the countries and preserving local cultures, the government has greatly promoted Local Cultural Industry recently. While as doing so, the country residents should be the ones know best about their cultural specialties and the ways to promote them. This study is taking Yu Shan area as a case to discuss local culture development and community economy. This study will begin with the discussions of the concepts of Local Cultural Industry, followed by the analysis of specialties of Yu Shan community and current economic condition. Then, base on this to develop strategy for Yu Shan Community Cultural Industry. By passing 104 questionnaires among them 94 are valid, the author used both qualitative and quantitative research methods to evaluate residents’ understanding of their own cultural specialties, current economy and the expectations on future development. In addition, the author also had depth interview with 12 key persons about the same issues. Both data were analyzed by categories and strategy analysis method to be brought inductive analysis. At the end, the thesis would conclude with key elements in Local Cultural Industry development. Overall, this study has following conclusions: 1. Community development should be woven with government sponsored multiple jobs training to improve manpower supply and better community organization. 2. The key to successful community development falls on residents’ sense in identifying with community; second, build up functioning organization and good relationship among residents; third, the plan has to be thorough and listed in details. 3. Yu Shan has unique industry, history and abundant natural environment; with such wonderful resources, Yu Shan can build a Community Cultural Industry as a model to others. Community development should base on local culture resources. On one hand, it would strengthen local cultures, on the other hand, local cultures can be the sources for community development. It benefits mutually and perpetually.
