Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育學系碩士班 === 96 === Abstract The purpose of this survey is to investigate elementary school students’ using satisfaction with Mandarin textbooks. To attain the purpose, this survey adopted a questionnaire of using satisfaction in basis of references and findings. Elementary school students in Tauyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli Counties filled out questionnaires, and then data gained from 1032 valid samples were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, and so on. Finally, this survey attained more deep understanding of students’ viewpoints and recommends towards Mandarin textbooks according to the results of questionnaires and interviews. The main conclusions of this survey are as follow: 1. Elementary school students’ using satisfaction with Mandarin textbooks is generally good at every aspect. The results indicate that “learning properties ”is the highest, “content properties” is the second, and “publication properties” is the lowest. 2. With the exception of the variables such as native language, family socioeconomic status, and the counties of schools, six variables are significantly different including gender, editions, score, after-class reading time, the regions of schools, and the scales of schools. 3. Generally speaking, students pay more attention to external properties of textbooks. Thus, the orientation of textbooks is limited by the using and content of textbooks. 4. About “learning properties”, students have different attitudes and expectations towards quantity and difficulty. 5. About “content properties”, students look more forward to various and attractive contents. 6. About “publication properties”, styles of pictures design doesn’t meet students’ mental levels and expectations. According to the results, this survey provides several recommends to textbooks editors, elementary school teachers and further study as reference.
